More games & test from cards

Make more fun game or test to help me remember words better such as fill in blank, fill a word in the sentence, choose the best description for a picture….

No please, don't make it another overcomplicated childish app. Please just leave the cards and the chatbot.

Adding More Practice and Testing Features
Lionel Messi
Hello,
I really enjoy using your app and I find it very helpful for learning new words. However, I think it would be even better with some extra practice options.
Besides the matching and swipe cards, it would be very useful to have frequent test questions. For example, after learning a certain number of words, the app could give a quiz with all of them. It would also help a lot if the app asked me to write the words myself a few times, not just recognize them. This way, I can remember the spelling and meaning much better.
I believe these changes will make learning more effective and long-lasting.
Thank you for your great work!

Add a test to try translating the example sentence
Deme
It could be useful if there were a kind of test that checks whether you know how to use words in a specific sentence.
For example, it could show the example sentence in your native language, and on the other side of the card - when you tap the screen - it would show the correct usage.

I like this idea!

I think its a good idea. Even something as simple as a pairs-memory game; cards are flipped upside down, you must match the pairs selecting two at a time. If they match they stay flipped, if they dont match, they flip back over.

Target language audio to native language matching
Greg Armstrong
It would be good to have different question types using the TL (target langauge) audio and having to match to the L1 (native language) translation.
Also, L1 displayed with only one correct multiple choice audio would be a good question type.

Word unjumble questions
Greg Armstrong
It would be great to have some word unjumbling/reordering type questions as part of the questions posed when learning. Both with and without audio would be nice for cards with sentences. It could be similar to the one on Duolingo.

Improve Gamification

As much as I'd like to regularly use DuoCards (even with the premium month I've got for inviting a friend!), I just don't do it.. and keep using Duolingo. most probably because of the well-done gamification, with the 800+ days of streak, daily quests, friends' quests, and even well-timed and well-worded notifications that keep calling you back.
I understand, this requires a lot of work and efforts from you, guys, and you can say that truly motivated learners don't need all of that. But hey, if DuoCards had at least some of those gamification techniques..
The current one with the mammoth and its home - it certainly has potential, but for me, it just doesn't work at all. I don't understand it. It's too complicated, and since the "streak" does not go away - it does not motivate me to keep it. And with no reminders - there's little to no chance to build a habit.
Again, I won't go into details - you can better talk to some AI about it, but I truly wish you could make an improvement there to actually get a higher engagement and retention rate.
Good luck!
P.S. if you haven't yet, I highly suggest watching the TED talk of the Duolingo founder, where he talks about gamification and reminders, and the whole competition for the user's time and attention.

Если бы не упоминание Дуолинго в контексте, поддержал бы. Мне не помогал Дуолинго в изучении немецкого на русском языке.
