Lifetime subscription
Petr from DuoCards
DuoCards is freemium, which means, everyone has always lifetime subscription to the free-version.
It doesn't really make sense to sell the app for lifetime, because we don't know how much the premium (AI) features will cost us when you will be using them.

Petr from DuoCards Hi! If the issue is the cost of the AI API, then even with a premium subscription, I personally don’t use AI in the app. You could simply remove it or make it a separate paid feature linked to the user's account — that way, the company won’t bear the costs.
I’d really like to have access to features like card scrolling, card rollback, etc. Also, please add bookmarks in articles — it looks really silly when you’re reading a long text, exit the app, and then have to search for where you left off.
I would suggest reconsidering your task prioritization. Right now, it seems like exporting cards to Anki is a priority (which potentially drives users away), while the features that could actually increase your revenue have been postponed. I just don’t understand your planning.

Yes! I always love savings, and I believe that offering a lifetime subscription creates a loyal customer base while giving the company immediate funds for their ventures.

I used to think lifetime subs as well - but the reality is that the sub is only for as long as the company is in business or until it is bought out.

Agree! Would LOVE a lifetime subscription!

Same here. Aren't willing to go on board with a subscription model but will happily pay for a lifetime sub worth lumpsum of couple years of subscription. And i don't need none of that AI crap

War Pig I know they probably have the telemetrics to back this up, but I bet the vast majority of their customers are using the free version without AI and suffer through the ads because no flashcard app is worth $40/yr. But if they had an AI-free, ad-free basic tier for a one time $15 charge, then they would get SOOO many more paying customers. The AI features could be an extra subscription.
