Writing practise
Nina Jenko
For languages that use difficult writing systems, like Japanese or Chinese to have writing tasks where you have to write the words by hand. Stroke order is very important for learning these two specifically and it’s terrible when you mess up a word because you misremembered a radical. One of the worst things to happen to someone writing an exam like that is to forget how to write a super basic word. Sometimes you really do forget how to write 年 on your N3, while writing 一生懸命 perfectly…
While having just a “write this kanji down” feature would be great, having a task where you need to write basic and non-basic words in sentences yourself would really help to prevent blunders like the one I described!

Show Furigana only after turning the flashcard
Flavio Felder (Moggla)
In Japanese, you have the Kanji with a spelling (Furigana) and then the translation to your language. If you want to show the Furigana, you can enable them under the Alphabet settings. But these will always be shown also in the case when you would like to learn the pronunciation of a Kanji by hearth. So that's not nice. Better would be to have an option to see them only after turning the card. Then you learn the pronunciation and the translation.

Yes!Second this. I just wrote the exact same request for Chinese pinyin / romanization.
Good to see that this applies for Japanese as well as Chinese.

Wrong pronunciation

Add the ability to adjust pronunciation. Google often gets confused when reading kanji. It would be helpful to set pronunciation using Hiragana and make google read the hiragana instead.

Changing how the AI read words
暗い光
I hope you can add an option that can change how the AI read words. In Japanese for example, some words are being said wrongly and that affects how I perform on the quiz since the words are blurred. For example 他 is being read as "ta" instead of "hoka".

The ability to change the romaji of a word in Japanese
暗い光
I hope there could be a way to change how the romaji of a word is displayed because it's actually annoying when you're hearing the word correctly but the reading is displayed wrong.

Furigana on kanjis in the Japanese decks

I'm currently using the app to learn Japanese and would be nice if everything was on kanji instead of using hiragana for most words, also it could have furigana on top of the kanjis.

Japanese: Add way to manually correct pronunciation / Furigana shown on cards
M
most of the time, the pronunciation/furigana shown below words in Japanese kanji is correct. But sometimes its not. For example 木綿豆腐 shows こわたとうふ (kowatatoufu) below the kanji in the app. But it should actually say もめんどうふ (momendoufu) a.k.a. Firm Tofu. below it.
I dont mind it sometimes being incorrect, since there are even cases where the same kanji can be pronounced differently (for example 綿 can be "men" or "wata" depending on context), but having a way to manually correct it would be enough.

This issue also occasionally occurs with Chinese pronunciation/pinyin.
