Ignore vowel marks in abjads in search
Иван Яновский
In languages such as Arabic or Hebrew available on Duocards short vowels can either be written (as it is done in books for learning or for children) or ignored and remembered (e.g. the word مشكلة - "mushkila" is written as "mshkla" and other vowels the reader just has to know). I always use vowel marks to remember the correct pronunciation, but the search feature will not find my word unless it is written exactly (with all marks). It is very tedious and annoying to try and find a word and remember all the right vowel marks, especially considering that some of them are not always written.
My suggestion is to make the search engine ignore all vowel marks and treat all spellings the same, e.g. مشكلة vs مُشْكِلَة vs مُشكِلَة

harakāt (diacritics) for Arabic words
Kamerla Yunisa
I noticed that only some Arabic words show harakāt (diacritics). Would it be possible to include harakāt (diacritics) on all Arabic words? It would really help with accurate pronunciation. Thank you!
Michaela
Hi Kamerla, thank you again for your suggestion! We're going to archive it for now since it hasn’t gathered that many votes and we need to prioritize, but don’t worry - it’s definitely noted. If more users request it in the future, we’ll be happy to revisit the idea!😊 Michaela from DuoCards
