Hands-free practice

ALBERTO
Good morning,
I would like a new practice mode to be created, which we could call "hands-free." This would be useful for practicing flashcards when we can't use our hands to interact with the smartphone — for example, while driving or jogging.
In this mode, one side of the card is read aloud, and a customizable amount of time is given for the user to recall the definition. The user cannot provide feedback (right or wrong), so the algorithm will simply decide which cards to show again and how often.
This would allow me, for example, to practice with DuoCard while driving from home to work.
Thank you, have a nice day.

Hi ALBERTO 🙂 This idea already exists in Canny and has a solid base of upvotes, so I’ll merge yours into it to consolidate the votes and keep everything organized. ✌️ You can find it under the name: The ability to play all the cards consecutively.

That's a great suggestion to enable "read aloud" option for both sides of the card. I always practice before sleeping, and sometimes my eyes hurt when I'm looking at the screen. So "blind mode" would be really helpful!

Hands-free mode / blind mode
Petro
I often learn cards during the walk. Or phisical activity. It would be great if I have ability operate cards without phone in my hands.
Propose to implement a hands free (or 'blind') mode that would include
- audio pronounce both sides of the card (not only language that I learn but also native language translation side. This allow me not watching at phone screen.
- support 'player controll buttons' Next/previous to swipe word right or left ('next' swipe right as I know the word, 'previous' swipe left as I do not know the word'). This allow me to swipe cards using my bluetooth audio device. Or use sound up/down (may hane a configuration to use volume ctrl for swipe or for volume)
- (optional, prefferable) support background mode so may interact duocards even with phone locked / screen-off - like control media player

Michaela thanks.
I was thinking about useability and buttons support. Just understood that there are 3 main actions. Swipe righr or left (that may use buttons next/prev or sound) but also usual tap to rotate a card - thisonemay reuse play button. Or 'next' - so first press next will turnover card, second will swipe
Petro
I would also propose support hands free buttons:
Next/previous to swipe word right or left ('next' swipe right as I know the word, 'previous' swipe left as I do not know the word')
Play-pause would start stop auto words looping (i.e. at auto loop automaticaly swipe left)
And yes, needs audio pronounce both sides of the card - the language I learn snd the translation

When I am walking I would like to listen my cards as slideshow, word - translation - example, next word, without looking at screen

learning while sleeping

I want to listen to the words I’m trying to learn while sleeping—first in English, then in Turkish. Each word should be repeated 3 times, and then it should move on to the next word. This way, I can listen with headphones while sleeping, and it would be very beneficial.
